ABOUT

Halcyon is a well-established, leading provider of comprehensive IT, VOIP and marketing consultancy in the UK.

​

Based in Liverpool, England, the company predominantly works with SME's in Merseyside and the surrounding areas.

CAMPAIGN GOALS

A company that had never devoted any considerable time to their social media marketing, Halcyon brought us in for a 4 week period to review their activity and optimise their channels in order to increase brand awareness.

CHALLENGES

  • Lack of content ideas

  • Struggled to promote their brand in an authentic way

  • Challenge of being able to get their content in front of a significant number of people

  • Difficulty with knowing how to create a clear brand voice and image on social media

​

  • Lack of time and expertise in order to benefit from their social media marketing

  • Lack of optimisation across all of their social media platforms

WHAT WE DID

  • Defined and implemented a consistent content schedule (a min. of 5 posts per week)

​

  • Optimised all of their social media channels (Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube). In some cases, handles were changed to increase SEO.

​

  • Helped kick off their YouTube channel through channel optimisation and video editing

​

  • Created a more authentic brand by showing the people behind the business

​

  • Took photos and videos in order to publish more relevant, up to date content

​

  • Created a number of Instagram highlights of their most important information to 

​

  • Carried out engagement activity with key target accounts

BEFORE

  • Inconsistent graphics that didn't adhere to brand guidelines

  • No highlights to communicate key company information

​

  • Inconsistent, random use of hashtags

​

  • Poor post descriptions that were hard to read

​

  • Messages that didn't communicate key information to their key target audiences

AFTER

  • Increased engagement across all channels​​

  • Increased credibility by posting customer reviews on the feeds of all social media channels as well as lifting them into the story highlights on their Instagram page​

​

  • Made sure that we produced content promoting all of their services

​

  • Introduced key content themes such as 'Tip Tuesday' to spark interest and increase engagements

​

  • Ensured that brand colours and text were used consistently throughout - creating an on-brand and professional-looking Instagram grid

​

  • Created content templates for them to be able to produce their own content quickly and effectively after the campaign

​

  • Identified and created a content plan that ensured the company were commenting on key topics in the IT industry, and helping to raise their reputation for thought leadership.
